Mann gets an A for effort in creating this theater (although it's now part of the Colorado Cinemas chain). I haven't been to the Chinese theater on which this one is based, but even so, I was impressed. The interior is decorated with classic memorabilia, tastefully worked in to the bright red decor. The presentation of movies is nicely done: they still showed a slide show before the movie, but the red velvet curtain closed in between the slides and the movie -- a nice touch. Also, the Chinese is one of only a few theaters that has reclining seats.
The concession stand had a better variety of snacks that I remember seeing at other theaters, and it was easily accessible from all sides (it's an island). It's a layout that works pretty well.
Because it's a new theater, the sound and screens are very good, but the real draw is the character of the place.
